July Catch up

We were able to spend the 4th with our good friends, basically family, the Arbizus.

Happy 4th of July!!! We spend the first part of the day working sadly, but then we went to first works out in Sandy with the Cottrell family.

Me and Lexer were able to go and explore the tank they had on display. Surprisingly roomy

We went to San Fran and were able to go down some cardboard slides. When I went to San Fran before we spent hours looking for these slides that you slide on with cardboard. I found them though and they are crazy fun!

We also went to the boardwalk and played all day. The boys went skim boarding. We also tried a deep fried twinkie and oreo which felt so wrong but tasted so good.

My hubby getting out of the cold water after skimming with a board.

We went to this really cool fort called Fort Point that is right under the Golden Gate Bridge. It has been there since the civil war and was used during both the civil and ww2.

This one is for Ben "That is what she said"

I love food, who doesn't right? So when we went to San Fran We wanted to try everything we could. This was one of our many fun ice creams. I had this one that tasted like horchata and had snickerdoodles in it. It was so good and my bro Ricky had burnt caramel.

We took a little excursion to Alcatraz where we got put in prison. Jk. It was really fun!

This is my favorite picture of the trip! My nephew is so stinking cute but just look at his cute parents and you aren't suprised. I love love love my nephew and miss him a lot.

It was fun to have both of my big brothers with me camping!

I got a new camel back and am sporting it in this picture, I love it!

My Dad is teaching David how to flay fish. It was both of our first times fly fishing pretty exciting.

Me with my cute neice Eliza during one of our many nature hikes where we looked for dinasaur bones. Shocker we didn't find any but we did find some chip munk bones.

I love my neices and nephews but I also love that my mom got all of them hats to decorate so we could always find them. My mom is a girls camp junky so their was many fun crafts for the kids. I love her!

We ended with a canooing trip that even little Abby got in on the fun. It is times like these that reminds me how blessed I am to have the family that I do. Shout out to my fam I love you!

Seagull BBQ

So last Sunday me and David decided we would BBQ for dinner. We were waiting for the charcoals in the grill to heat up so that David could put his hamburger on and I could put my chicken on. To pass the time I challenged David to a race to the swings on the playground in our court, which of course I won. No sooner did we sit down to swing when we saw a seagull on the table where our meat was sitting pigging out on Davids hamburger. We raced over screaming at the seagull but the damage was done and Davids hamburger was gone. It was at that moment that David wished he had had a gun.
This is exactly why nobody likes seagulls.

Good News Bad News

So I know I haven't blogged in a while but here is a little update about a couple good news and bad news moments.

So I thought I would try and be funny one night and put Dwight on the back of the couch and have him looking down at David while David was watching TV but David wouldn't turn around so I tried to get him too but I did a very bad job instead he got up to come talk to me and when he did Dwight fell off of the back of the couch and got decapitated. That was my bad news.
So Here is my good news!!! I know this does not look like much but this is my little herb garden that I am trying to grow in our apt. For a while I didn't think anything would grow but then I started seeing green things peep out of the soil!! I am not sure what herbs they are because my dad gave me random seeds but I will love them all the same.
PS this is my other good news David. Good news I got to marry an amazing husband, best friend and my EC David. Love him!!!!

Spring Break Kick-off

So we decided to head south for Spring Break this year and try out our new camping gear we got from our wedding shower. We decided to go to Snow Canyon to see some Lava Tubes and also visit the Red Cliffs to go on an awesome hike we found on the internet. All of these places are about 20 miles North of St. George.

Just as we were embarking on our trip, our hopes and dreams were smashed. The light turned green, we pulled out into the intersection to make a left turn. We waited for an oncoming car to pass us for it to be clear enough to turn when a Ford Escape came bulting through the red light, T-boning the car we were waiting for to pass us, pushing both cars into the front of us...

I'd explain it more but I'll let you see for yourself:

There are several things that made this crash a miracle.
First of all, about 2 weeks ago we drove to Vegas and didn't have our insurance card with us. We didn't want to make a long drive again without it and Cait was inspired to stick it in the glove box just before we left our house.
Second, Both of the other cars were totalled!
Third, No one involved was hurt.
We had 3 witnesses stay and fill out police reports and for which we were very grateful.
This was an awakening experience for us to realize how much our Heavenly Father loves us and we know he is watching out for us. And I am so grateful for a wife that is in tune with the spirit enough to listen and know to follow it. I love you Caitlyn!

My muscle man!

So another funny story about my man. So we have been trying to get into shape for the new year so at nights we will do the biggest loser work out video. So one morning I was getting dressed and I know David was unaware but you can see the bathroom mirror from our bedroom door way. I had just finished getting dressed when I look just in time to see David giving his bet muscle man flex in the mirror. I just started laughing and he turned a little red because he was embarrassed, what a cute man I got is all I could think.

Funniest moment of the year!

Oh my cute hubby, here is a photo just to remind you of who he is. Anyways, so today, sunday, we were getting ready for church and David had just gotten out of the shower when he realized that he had no clean garments. Luckily he had done a load the night before but they were down in the laundry room three floors down at the bottom of our stair well. Being the good wife that I am I offered to go but then again being my mothers daughter I got distracted and forgot. He was still naked when I said why don't you just go get them so he jokingly walked out of our apt buck naked as a joke. (church had already started so most of all of our neighbors were at church) So I thought that would be a perfect chance to shut the door and hold it closed while he was outside naked. A few seconds later I looked out the peep hole and he wasn't there anymore. He actually walked down three flights of stairs and into the laundry room buck naked in his birthday suit!!!! Moments later I heard a tap on the door and David had come back still naked and with his arms empty. He told me about his fun journey and how he heard the door open in the laundry room just after he entered and some random lady was walking in and so he slipped into the space behind the door as it was opening. The lady saw him out of the corner of her eye. David then rushed out the door and back up the stairs laughing! Omg got to love him!!!
