Spring Break Kick-off

So we decided to head south for Spring Break this year and try out our new camping gear we got from our wedding shower. We decided to go to Snow Canyon to see some Lava Tubes and also visit the Red Cliffs to go on an awesome hike we found on the internet. All of these places are about 20 miles North of St. George.

Just as we were embarking on our trip, our hopes and dreams were smashed. The light turned green, we pulled out into the intersection to make a left turn. We waited for an oncoming car to pass us for it to be clear enough to turn when a Ford Escape came bulting through the red light, T-boning the car we were waiting for to pass us, pushing both cars into the front of us...

I'd explain it more but I'll let you see for yourself:

There are several things that made this crash a miracle.
First of all, about 2 weeks ago we drove to Vegas and didn't have our insurance card with us. We didn't want to make a long drive again without it and Cait was inspired to stick it in the glove box just before we left our house.
Second, Both of the other cars were totalled!
Third, No one involved was hurt.
We had 3 witnesses stay and fill out police reports and for which we were very grateful.
This was an awakening experience for us to realize how much our Heavenly Father loves us and we know he is watching out for us. And I am so grateful for a wife that is in tune with the spirit enough to listen and know to follow it. I love you Caitlyn!

My muscle man!

So another funny story about my man. So we have been trying to get into shape for the new year so at nights we will do the biggest loser work out video. So one morning I was getting dressed and I know David was unaware but you can see the bathroom mirror from our bedroom door way. I had just finished getting dressed when I look just in time to see David giving his bet muscle man flex in the mirror. I just started laughing and he turned a little red because he was embarrassed, what a cute man I got is all I could think.

Funniest moment of the year!

Oh my cute hubby, here is a photo just to remind you of who he is. Anyways, so today, sunday, we were getting ready for church and David had just gotten out of the shower when he realized that he had no clean garments. Luckily he had done a load the night before but they were down in the laundry room three floors down at the bottom of our stair well. Being the good wife that I am I offered to go but then again being my mothers daughter I got distracted and forgot. He was still naked when I said why don't you just go get them so he jokingly walked out of our apt buck naked as a joke. (church had already started so most of all of our neighbors were at church) So I thought that would be a perfect chance to shut the door and hold it closed while he was outside naked. A few seconds later I looked out the peep hole and he wasn't there anymore. He actually walked down three flights of stairs and into the laundry room buck naked in his birthday suit!!!! Moments later I heard a tap on the door and David had come back still naked and with his arms empty. He told me about his fun journey and how he heard the door open in the laundry room just after he entered and some random lady was walking in and so he slipped into the space behind the door as it was opening. The lady saw him out of the corner of her eye. David then rushed out the door and back up the stairs laughing! Omg got to love him!!!

Las Vegas Baby!!!

The Story Of Vegas!!!

We started out late at night and headed down to Mesquite for lodging

On Friday we went golfing, it was my first time playing for real well almost (we bent some rules so that we didn't hold the game up)

David always had a tee in his mouth so that he could look like a cool golfer, love him!

Unfortunately we miss calculated a curb and popped a hole in the tire of out corolla Kevin. It could have ruined the trip but we decided it was all part of the adventure and nothing was going to stop us from Vegas!!

My wonderful husband whipped out his mechanic skills and plumbers crack to fix the tire

We saw the beautiful flower displays in the Balagio

The Eiffel tower at the Paris also where we ate ourselves sick on our buffet. Go crab legs!!!

We saw this sign and thought it embodied what Las Vegas was about considering that we couldn't look up or look down because of the nakedness

We did however find the biggest slot machine ever!!!

It felt very Oceans Eleven as we watched the musical fountain at the Bellagio

Heaven knows it wouldn't be Vegas without a storm trooper encounter, he was actually very nice. Sadly he had no light saber so Aniken still wins.

We tried a crazy amount of sodas at the coke factory the worst for David was the mint soda from India his favorite was the Watermelon one from China.

My Favorite was probably fanta kolita from costa rica and I hated the Beverly from Italy.

And it all ended where it began at the Bellagio

The Story of Us!

We met on Dec. 6, 2008 on a blind date set up by our wonderful friends Jose and Lexy (thanks a million guys). We continued dating through out the month and then for New Years David invited me to a party with his family and at 12 midnight we had our first kiss!

We continued to date and four months later on April 5, 2009 David popped the big question and I said yes!

And now we are married living in our humble abode at the University of Utah married student housing.
